1st website that I designed and coded for an Interaction Design course at Oklahoma State University. The objective was to learn HTML/CSS through redesigning and rebranding a pre-existing website.
I was assigned Copper Mountain Ski Resort.
HOME PAGE AND NAVIGATION
To improve clarity and ease of navigation, pages were consolidated so that the most essential functions appeared first. A slideshow was implemented to stay true to the original design as well as to highlight the company’s features. Also since environment conditions are important for ski resort attendees, a weather and temperature widget was incorporated.
MOUNTAIN + RESORT PAGE
Different features about the ski resort are separated by category. CSS was used so that when a user hovered over a specific category, the thumbnail image would no longer be blurred. A fixed background image is used throughout the website.
GROUPS PAGE
Using DIVs, different types of groups are separated accordingly so the user can easily find particular package deals for their trips.
ACTIVITIES + EVENTS PAGE
Tables were used to organize the resort's events.
